Inspirations
The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly.

“Global Meltdown: Importance of MBA in current global crisis”

In the backdrop of the continuing global economic crisis, Kolkata Institute of Management has organized a seminar on the “Global Meltdown” to take an analytical look at the changed role of management education in the context of current economic slowdown. The global meltdown has not dampened the spirit of working executives, MBA aspirants or B-schools, as is evident from record number of candidates who sat for CAT this year.
About 2.90 lakh students appeared for the CAT exam this year, 60,000 more than last year.

Though big names from the financial world will be missed during the next round of placement, their absence will more or less be done well by other firms.

Specialising in finance will pick up in about a years time as banks and investment firms would never cease to function. Leading management institutions, in fact, are planning to start specialised courses in finance keeping in mind the ever increasing demand for it.
